Ewa Iwona Lee
Ewa Iwona Lee is a versatile artist with interests that stretch far and beyond her two passions, the human body and horses. Her fascination with light, its function and relevance in describing a form and creating a desired mood is eminent in her work. She describes her style as contemporary realism, with strong emphasis on correct interpretation of nature, while maintaining freedom of expression within her chosen medium; graphite, pastel, acrylic or oil.
The nurturing environment of many talented people in her family including the two most important females in her life, her mother and grandmother, created perfect conditions for Ewa's artistic growth. The natural drive and passion consequently led Ewa to enter art school. She received her diploma from the School of Fine Art & Design in Kolo, Poland. She also studied Illustration as a part of Visual Communication program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Canada.
Ewa has shown her work at Steppes Gallery in Edmonton as a part of the Polish Mosaic Show, featuring Polish artists from the region. She illustrated the cover for the book, “Mounties March West” published by Lone Pine Publishing.
Her work has been commissioned by many private clients in Europe and Canada.
